Emmanuel MASENGESHO

Emmanuel MASENGENSHO is the Deputy Coordinator for Research and Monitoring, responsible for the management of FHA’s research and monitoring activities, with a primary focus on the Gishwati Primate Monitoring and Habituation Program. As a resident of Gishwati with a background in conservation and an extensive experience in the scientific research, Emmanuel coordinates the work of Primate trackers, overseeing the daily data collection and the primate habituation progress, and orienting researchers and other field assistants. Emmanuel also provides exceptional and evidence-based visitor experiences for tourists and official guests. Emmanuel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Administration and Management from the Institute of Applied Sciences Ruhengeri (INESS-Ruhengeri). As a professional in land management his work benefit both field-based conservation in and around Gishwati-Mukura National Park, land management, supporting effective ecosystem protection and sustainable landscape restoration.
